Technical Product Director will lead product improvement and reformulation of existing products, as well as new product development.
Technical Product Director will interface regularly with Marketing and Customer Service to ensure Company’s products exceed our customers’ needs and expectations. Working closely with Marketing, Candidate will be expected to learn our industry and bring new perspective and ideas for product line extensions and new business development ideas. Technically speaking, where do our competitors’ products outshine ours, and how can we reformulate to improve versus other products?
Technical Product Director will also interface regularly with Manufacturing to improve, troubleshoot, and resolve product manufacturability. Additionally, the Technical Product Director will work with Sourcing to identify and pursue cost savings opportunities.
Additional responsibilities include overseeing GMP, overseeing quality control, maintaining manufacturing specifications and managing regulatory affairs and international and domestic registration.
Ideal candidate will have strong chemistry or chemical engineering background, plus 1-3 years of non-academic experience in product development and / or manufacturing operation. Candidate must have superior interpersonal skills, as well as a passion to identify and solve problems, big and small. Candidate must be entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and eager to bring a new perspective to a rapidly growing company. Passion for taking ownership of product development and improvement is more important than technically detailed chemistry background
